Other comments: Rathawi or Rathwi has a vigesimal system. The Rathwa people previously counted only till four hundred and they thought that it was the costliest price or value while buying a cow or during a marriage deal. Now they are mixing the state language for the higher numerals. More than 400 people (previously) never used because for them it was the costliest or the highest value. But now they mix the state language along with the higher denominations. Note that this language is spoken by approximately 450,000 speakers in Chhota Udepur district (revenue division), Gujarat and distinct from Rathwi Bareli in Madhya Pradesh, India. |
