Other comments: Quinault or kwinaył became extinct when the last speaker, Oliver Mason, died in 1996 and there are still 1,500 ethnic population in Washington: Quinault Reservation, centered in Taholah Community on Olympic Peninsula west coast, United States. Quinault has a decimal system. The word 'tál' for 11 to 19 means ‘along, by (water, shore, beach, woods (?)), with, by means of? (e.g. to jump _ rope)’čənt ‘and; again; (together) with’. Other numbers (acc. to R. Modrow 1971; transcription adjusted, no sound recordings available). According to R. Modrow (1971) all 20-29 are regular.
