Other comments: Texistepec Popoluca has a vigesimal system. Texistepec Popoluca is nearly extinct language (Ethnic population: 15,800) spoken in Texistepec area east of Oluta, Veracruz state, Mexico. As the Ethnologue says there is only one speaker of Texistepec Popoluca as of 2018, I hope this list will fill a gap of possible historical interest. The words here have been transcribed exactly as Clark wrote the phonemic notation. I include Clark’s own list of Texistepec Popoluca numbers. |
