Other comments: Northern Paiute (Numu) or Paviotso is a moribund language spoken by 700 speakers, plus 400 semi-speakers in 6,000 ethnic population in Nevada: north; adjacent areas of California, Idaho, Oregon, United States. Northern Paiute or Numu has a decimal system similar to that of Monochi. The form for number '90' is missing and there are options for number 100 and 200. They are 'sɨmɨmanoʔju manoʔju' and 'wahamanoʔju manoʔju' respectively. The above data was taken from Mono Lake Northern Paiute dialect. |
