Other comments: Noon has a quinary-decimal system. The alternative form for 'one', wɪtnɔː, is only used in the counting process. Actually, it is very common for the Noon to use pure Wolof or French when counting above the number from 100 onwards. Noon or Serer-Noon is spoken by approximately 33,000 speakers in Thiès region, Senegal. |
