Other comments: Ngamambo is spoken by approximately 108,000 speakers in North West region: Mezam division, Santa subdivision, Bafuchu and Nja village areas; Momo division, east Batibo and east and southeast Mbengwi subdivision, Cameroon. Ngamambo has a decimal system.There are three words for a thousand. They are: tʃùʔ fíbì, or fíbì, or tɔ́sɨ̀n fíbì. tɔ́sɨ̀n is borrowed from the English word ‘thousand’ and is mostly used when referring to money. In counting, kám is used in the majority of cases. 10000 is tʃûʔ-rɨ̀-ɣum, 100000 is tʃûʔ-rɨ̀-kɨfiβì. |
