Other comments: Ndut has a quinary-decimal system. There are two sets of vowels which define [+ATR set ] (advanced tongue root) and [- ATR set ] classes, and there is a ATR-base vowel harmony. Ndut is spoken by approximately 52,000 speakers in Thiès region: between Thiès town and Atlantic coast, Senegal. |
