Other comments: Southern Sierra Miwok is a seriously endangered language or extinct language spoken in Merced and Chowchilla rivers’ headwaters and Mariposa Creek, California, USA. Language Status: 10 (Extinct). Language of registered tribe: Buena Vista Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians of California, California Valley Miwok Tribe, Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians-Shingle Springs Rancheria (Verona Tract).

The last known speakers may have survived into the 2010s.

Notesː  Southern Sierra Miwok (stem, w/o case) (orthography as in Central Sierra Miwok, other than c = č) (Broadbent), [t̩] is a voiceless retroflex stop, =IPA [ʈ], [c] is an aspirated palatal stop, [vˑ] is a long vowel.
