Other comments: Mbum or Buna has a decimal system with special constructions for numbers 7 to 9. The word for thousand is a loanword from Bagirmi. The original meaning for 200 is unknown. Mbum is spoken by 51,000 speakers in Adamawa region, Centre region: East region, North region: Faro division, Ngaoundéré area to border of Faro Reserve, Cameroon as well as Central African Republic. |
