Other comments: Malecite-Passamaquoddy is a moribund language spoken by a few older adults only out of approximately 3,000 ethnic population New Brunswick province: Saint John river villages, Canada. Malecite-Passamaquoddy has a decimal system. Note that Malecite-Passamaquoddy accent combines features of stress and pitch. An acute accent ( v́ ) indicates a distinctively stressed syllable that is associated with high pitch, while a grave accent

( v̀ ) indicates a distinctively stressed syllable that is associated with low pitch.
