Other comments: Lama or Lamba has a decimal system with special constructions for numbers 7 and 8. The construction of 70 and 80 is particular, too. There is a word for 'hundred' tʃakɔɪsi, which literately means 'guinea fowl'. Lama or Lamba is spoken by approximately 258,000 speakers in Togo as well as Benin and Ghana. |
