Other comments: Eastern Keres or Eastern Keres Pueblo, Rio Grande Keresan is spoken by approximately 6,680 speakers in (Golla 2007). Includes 500 Zia speakers, 390 Santa Ana, 2,340 San Felipe, 2,850 Santo Domingo, 600 Cochiti, out of about 8,100 ethnic population in New Mexico: Cochiti, San Felipe, Santa Ana, Santo Domingo, and Zia pueblos, United States. Eastern Keres has a decimal system. Note that the traditional phonetic symbolsː /ch/= IPA [t͡ʃ], /vˈ/, aspiration, = IPA [vʰ], /ː /= vowel lengthened, / ʔ /=glottalized consonant. Stress on first syllable generally. |
