Other comments: Karakalpak has a decimal system. Karakalpak is a Turkic language spoken by approximately 870,000 Karakalpaks in Navoiy, and Khorezm regions along lower Amu river, south Aral Sea area, Karakalpakstan Autonomous Republic; Bukhoro, Uzbekistan, as well as Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and
Turkey.
Karakalpak belongs to the Kipchak branch of the Turkic languages, thus being closely related to and highly mutually intelligible with Kazakh.
