Other comments: Karachay has two parallel numeral systems: a decimal system and a base-twenty system. Karachay-Balkar or Mountain Turkic is a Turkic language spoken by approximately 280,000 speakers of the Karachays and Balkars in Kabardino-Balkar republic and Karachay-Cherkessia republic, European Russian Fedaration, as well as by an immigrant population in Afyonkarahisar Province, Turkey, as well as Kyrgyzstan
Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan. The language is closely related to Kumyk.
