Other comments: Ixil is spoken by 130,000 or so people in Mexico in the states of Campeche and Quintana Roo as well as San Gaspar Chajul, San Juan Cotzal and Santa María Nebaj, Quiché department in Guatemala. Ixil has a vigesimal system. Ixil has recorded traditional numerals from 1 to 10 years ago, not sure if they are still using traditional numbers after ten or now use Spanish numerals after ten. New data for numbers after ten is required. |
