Other comments: Dzùùngoo has a rather complicated system. The word 'ɡúrúsɔ' is 800, so '1000' can be expressed by ( 800 + 200 ). There are another two words for 1000; one is 'ɡbáːsōː', which means 'house' and the second 'wāːkẽre', which is borrowed from the Jula word 'waa kelan'. Dzùùngoo has a traditional counting system based on 80. Dzùùngoo or Dzùùn, Eastern Duun, Samogho, Kpankagooma is spoken by approximately 13,400 (1998 P. Solomiac) in Hauts-Bassins region: Kenedougou province and Leraba province, Burkina Faso. |
