Other comments: Duupa has a vigesimal system similar to that of Dugun system. The word for 'hundred', saʔá is usually used for counting money. It derived from French word 'sac' means 'sack'. The word 'wɔ́ɔ́ɡ' in forming tens (30 to 90) means 'head'. Duupa is spoken by approximately 5,000 speakers in North region: Bénoué and Faro divisions, east of Poli, Cameroon 。 |
