Other comments: Dongxiang has a decimal system. Dongxiang borrows Chinese numerals after ten. Dongxiang or Santa is a Mongolic language spoken by about 200,000 people mainly in Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu province, and in Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Santa is also known as Dongxiang in Chinese. The Dongxiang people call themselves Sarta (撒尔塔). |
