Other comments: The modern Jamsay has a decimal system. The archaic form for 80 is ''sǔŋ'', now is used as 100. They have borrowed Fulfulde number 'tɛ́ːmɛ́dɛ́rɛ' for hundred. The nasalized semivowels are expressed by [wⁿ] and [nʸ]. Jamsay Dogon or Dyamsay Tegu or spoken by approximately 130,000 speakers in Mopti region: Koro circle near Burkina Faso border; southwest Koro circle, Kiri town, northwest to Douentza circle, Mali as well as Burkina Faso. |
