Other comments: Dameli has a traditional vigesimal numeral system, which can count up to 400 (20 x 20). The contemporary numbers hundred 'saʋa' and thousand 'zara' are loanwords from nearby dominant language. Dameli is spoken by approximately 5,000 speakers in 4 main and several smaller villages in Damel valley, south Chitral district, Khyber Pakhtunkwa province, Pakistan. |
