Other comments: Chuj is spoken by approximately 40,000 people in Guatemala, primarily in San Mateo Ixtatán, San Sebastián Coatán and Nentón in the Huehuetenango Department and around 3,000 members in Mexico. Chuj has a vigesimal system. Mam has recorded traditional numerals from 1 to 10 years ago, not sure if they are still using traditional numbers after ten or now use Spanish numerals after ten. New data for numbers after ten is required. |
