Note that the Phonetic transcriptions between IPA and phonetic Americanist ː 1. ch = IPA [tʃ ], voiceless palatal fricative. 2. j = IPA [ʒ], voiced interdentally fricative. 3. lh = IPA [ɬ], voiced lateral fricative. 4. sh = IPA [ʃ], voiceless post-alveolar fricative. 5. tɬʰ = IPA [tɬʰ], voiceless lateral affricate. 6. tɬʼ = IPA [tɬʼ], voiceless ejective affricate. 7. ts = IPA [ts], voiceless dental affricate. 8. tsʼ =IPA [tsʼ], voiceless ejective affricate 9.
