Other comments: Batu is spoken by approximately 25,000 speakers in Taraba state: Sardauna LGA, east of Baissa, below Mambila escarpment, Nigeria. Batu might have a vigesimal system based on twenty similar to that of Tiv. Batu has recorded traditional numerals from 1 to 10 years ago, not sure if they are still using traditional numbers after ten or now use Hausa or Nigerian English numerals after five or ten. New data for numbers after five or ten is required. |
