Other comments: Bamukumbit or Mangkong is spoken by approximately 12,000 speakers North West region: Ngo-Ketunjia division, Balikumbat subdivision, southwest of Ndop on Ndop plain, Cameroon. Bamukumbit has a numeral system similar to that of Awing. I have included different forms of the numbers which correspond to different noun classes. (the ones starting with “b” correspond to class 2, the ones starting with “m” correspond to class 6). There are two different words for “one”. Notes on tonesː 7 is high, 5 is Mid, 2 is low. If two numbers are given without a space in between, then it signifies a contour tone. Square brackets [ or ] signify a morpheme break. |
