Other comments: Ayu or Aya is spoken by approximately 800 speakers in Kaduna state: Sanga LGA, Agamati, Amantu, Ambel, Anka, Arau, Diger, Gwade, Ikwa, Kongon, and Tayu villages, Nigeria. Ayu has a decimal system, it seems that the numerals 7, 8 and 9 can be analyzed related to 3, 4, 5 etymologically.
