Other comments: Zok is a form of Armenian that is so divergent that it has been classified as a separate language. It was originally spoken in Nakhijevan (present-day Azerbaijan). The last Armenians of Nakhijevan were displaced by conflict in 1988. There are thought to be less than 1,000 remaining speakers of this dialect. Zok has a decimal system. At the moment I do not have actual data for 25-29, but I am pretty sure they follow the same pattern as 23 and 24 (k'sun (20) + u (and) + number)。 |
