Other comments: Akum is spoken by approximately 1,400 speakers in North West region: Menchum division, Furu-Awa subdivision, Nigeria border area, Akum village, as well as Nigeria. Akum number system is based on five, the numbers 6-9 are composed of 5+1, 2, 3, 4. Higher numerals after ten needed. |
