Other comments: Wantoat is spoken by approximately 8,000 speakers in Kaiapit district, Bam, Leron, and Wantoat rivers, Morobe province, Papua New Guinea. Wantoat numeral system is a digit-tally one with a basic numeral set (1, 2). The numerals 3 and 4 are the compounds of these. The number word for 5 contains a 'hand' morpheme 'kat-' 10 is 'hand(s) also bundled up -and'. After tallying on the fingers, tallying proceeds to the toes.
