Other comments: Uisai has been sometimes treated as the most divergent dialect of Buin but is classified as a separate language in the Ethnologue. The structure is extremely similar as the Buin system. Two alternative forms occur for numbers 15, 16, 18 and 19. Uisai is spoken by about 350 speakers in Buin district, Bougainville province, Papua New Guinea. |
