Other comments: Tuma-Irumu is spoken by approximately 2,000 speakers in Wantoat subdistrict, Kaiapit district, Morobe province, Papua New Guinea. Tuma-Irumu counting system has a basic numeral set (1,2); 3 has the construction '2 plus 1' and 4 has the construction '2 plus 2', 'ket' is the word for 'hand /arm', which appears in the number words for 6 through 10, and also 20. The number 5 being 'hand one of them'. The number word for 11 through 20 contains a 'leg /foot' morpheme 'kuroŋ'. The word for 20 has the gloss 'hand legs together'.
