Other comments: Ume Saami has a decimal system. Ume Saami is a nearly extinct language only spoken by 20 elderly speakers out of 1,000 Ethnic population, in Lycksele and Storuman municipalities, Malå, Sorsele, and Tärna, along Ume river, Vasterbotten county, Sweden. The above data was taken from the sub-dialect of Malmasjaure village in the north-eastern part of the Ume Saami area. This dialect is nowadays extinct, as are most of the former local Ume Saami dialect. There is a variant from 11 to 19; either the forms enclosed or 'akʻtə lʉkle nɛltn' and from 21 - 99; either the forms enclosed or ''kuœkʻtə 'lʉhkeːh jah akʻtə'. |
