Other comments: Nakame or Nakama is spoken by approximately 1,600 speakers in six villages in west and northwest of Boana, Saruwaged Range south side, Morobe province, Papua New Guinea. Nakame has a base 20 system using hands and legs for tallying. There are three numerals, the word for three possibly being derived from 'two and one'. An alternative for 'four, diding was used in higher combinations. Hence there are either three or four distinct numerals.
