Other comments: South Muyu or Digul, Kati Metomka, Moejoe, Ok Bari, South Kati is approximately 4,600 speakers in Toge, Amburan, Anggamburan, Imko, Jomkondo, Kanggup, Metomka, Amupdipun, Mindiptana, Kukuna, Wambiran, Woman, Tinimbit, Mokbiran, Jumka, Yetemot, Namas, Jononggo, Wombaki?, Kanggewot?, Yabiman?, Mana?, Upecetko?, Amupkim?, Woropko?, Katanam?, Amten?, Amkomkit?, Katumbon?, and Walikubun? villages, south of the central mountains of Papua, just along the border with Papua New Guinea. The name Muyu is taken from the Muyu River, a tributary of the Kao River, itself a tributary of the Digul River, Papua Province, Indonesia. They reside within the province of Papua, Indonesia. The South Muyu people live by hunting, planting and gathering food from the forest. They plant both trees (for long-term crops) and seasonal crops. It is possible to reach villages in the area by walking, using a 4-wheel drive vehicle or motorcycling from Mindiptana. Cessna airplanes can land at the airstrip in Mindiptana. Small boats can also make it up river to the area from the towns near the ocean. South Muyu might have an old traditional body tally system up to 31 similar to that of Ninggirum, North Muyu has recorded traditional numerals from 1 to 10 years ago, not sure if they are still using old traditional numbers or body tally after ten or now use Papuan Malay numerals after ten. New data for numbers after ten is required.
