Other comments: Mam is spoken by approximately 600,000 or so people in Guatemala, primarily in the departments of Quetzaltenango, Huehuetenango, San Marcos, and Retalhuleu, and the Mexican states of Campeche and Chiapas. Mam has a vigesimal system. |
