Other comments: Makasae is spoken by approximately 145,000 speakers in Baucau district:, Lautém district and Manatuto district on Timor island, East Timor. Makasae has a decimal system with very strong Austronesian influences, particularly concerning numbers 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 100 and 1000. The numbers: məhi, mitu, fə(r) are applied only to persons. |
