Other comments: Mairasi has a quinary, base-twenty counting system. There are loanwords for hundred and thousand from Malay. Number 'five' iβoɾo is expressed by this hand literallyː i= this, roβ = hand. The above data was in phonetic forms. Mairasi is spoken by about 3,000 speakers in Bomberai peninsula, southwest coast facing Arafura Sea, southeast from Arguni bay, West Papua province, Indonesia.
