Other comments: Mountain Koiali is spoken by approximately 4,000 speakers in Kairuku-Hiri district, National Capital District, Central province, Papua New Guinea. Mountain Koiali has a 2, 5-cycle counting system up to twenty. The numerals 1 and 2 are, respectively, 'igae' and 'abui'. In combination to from the numerals 3 and 4, respectively 'abui-ta iɡae-ta' and 'abui-ta abui-ta', they both take the particle '-ta', i.e. with. The number word for 5 is 'ada mole' where 'ada is 'hand' and 'mole' means 'other'. Thus 7 is 'ada mole abui-ta', i.e. 'hand other two-with'. The number word for ten is 'ada abui-ta', i.e 'hands two-with'. Tallying then process from fingers to toes.
