Other comments: ǁGana is one of Botswana's indigenous languages. It belongs to the Western branch of the Central Khoesan group of languages. Not much is known about the syntax of this language, which is now facing extinction. "Before 1997, ǀGui and ǁGana used to live in Xade and other settlements inside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR). According to [Hiroshi] Nakagawa, ǀGui speakers in the mid-1990s were found scattered to 15 settlements. In April 2000, Akira Takada counted 1002 speakers of Gǀui and ǁGana at New Xade (Kxoenssakene)" ǁGana has only recorded traditional numerals from 1 to 4 years ago. New data for numbers after four is required.
