Other comments: Fulumu or Bau is spoken by approximately 3,000 speakers in several villages, Ambenob Rural LLG, Madang province, Papua New Guinea. Generally the Bau people count till 3 (three) in their language. After that it is ‘many’ or ‘a lot’ or something like that. But when counting days, they can give numbers to the days of a week from 1 till 7. Nowadays they use the Melanesian Pidgin numerals for counting. |
