Other comments: Finongan or Finungwa is spoken by approximately 1,200 speakers in two villages in the Lowai area Boana, Morobe province, Papua New Guinea. The counting data were obtained from village formants. Finongan has a body-tally system up to 10 on the hands. There are only two numeral words, and tallying proceeds on the hands. |
