Other comments: Dao or Moi is spoken by 250 speakers in Napan sub-district; west central highlands along Dao river, Paniai regency, Papua province, Indonesia. Moi counting system is very similar to that of the Maniwo dialect to the east of the Auye language, for which the number 7 is 'da:da:'. The highest number a Moi can say is 400 – mee ndo mee oto. (twenty twenties). Please don't confused with the Moi language of the West Bird's Head language. |
