Other comments: Bilau is spoken by about 9,000 in Vella Lavella island, Western province, Solomon Islands. Bilua has a decimal system of counting. The numbers 7 to 9 might be etymologically analyzed as 5 plus ? The number '20' is a loanword from a nearby Austronesian spoken on Choiseul island. |
