The paper discusses the meanings of -nya in the language of two different children at age 3 years 5 months and 3 years 10 months respectively. The data in the form of the children's spontaneous utterances were collected through two separate participant observations. It is found that they were capable of utilizing at least 7 different meanings of -nya in their speech. Suggestions for further research with more pragmatic approach are forwarded.
