Ballistic accent: Some Chinantec words have a ballistic accent of a special character, which is written
with the orthographic symbol [‘] over the nuclear vowel of the word.  Ballistic accent is a combination
of pitch and stress.  It tends to raise high tones and lower low tones. These words have a pronunciation
which is lightly explosive.  Their intensity diminishes rapidly in comparison to syllables without this accent.
The level of each tone falls rapidly.  Also these tones on short syllables are shorter than those without the
ballistic accent.
