Feature Annotation

Instruments such as a knife, hammer, finger, water in ‘cut with a knife’, ‘hit with a hammer’, ‘open with her fingers’ or ‘extinguish with water’ are expressend in three main ways in the languages of the world:
– by an instrumental adposition (value 1),
– by an instrumental serial verb (value 2; see
APiCS Glossary, "serial verb construction") or
– by an instrumental case (value 3).
